Meeting with Leona & James and working with them on what they wanted to do was something we were delighted to be a part of. For those that may be thinking about something a little bit different, this is worth looking at.
James and Leona were uncomfortable with the drama and attention of a traditional wedding day yet really wanted to be husband and wife and make that commitment. Leona meet us a couple of months out from the wedding and explained what they wanted to do, we were delighted to come on board. Photos were important to them both and they picked locations that were special to them.
We decided that we'd tell our parents the week before, so they wouldn't have to keep the secret for too long. The only reason we did keep it a secret was not to be persuaded to have a more traditional wedding that wouldn't suit us. We are having small shindig in August to celebrate with family and friends and we are really excited about that. We were convinced it was the only route for us but I was very unsure how people would react, I was so happy when we got so much support and positivity from everyone. So glad we did it the way we did.

Leona & James met with us after their ceremony, along with their parents, and - after spending an enjoyable couple of hours shooting in some beautiful locations - they finished off their evening in one of their favourite restaurants.
